We're a small, inclusive, no-frills hostel, or coliving community, of 3-7 people, located in a quiet neighborhood 15 minutes from downtown. Book only if you clean behind yourself, are safe, respectful, adapt well & can receive feedback. We have a strict no-alcohol policy. Space
THE HOUSE >> The porch is pretty nondescript, but our living room space is cozy. There's no TV, so people tend to work, relax or converse there. By the way, no sleeping on the leather couch. Our kitchen space has 2 refrigerators, and standard appliances. It is pretty basic (again, no-frills) but there is ample food storage space that's clearly labeled for each room space. Also, our deep cleaners come bi-monthly, NOT daily, so 1. This is not the fancy "Instagram Airbnb". The home, your room (and especially bathrooms!) will be clean, but please don't arrive doing a white glove inspection (it's happened). We have a few scuffs on floors, imperfect baseboards and standard wear that any normal single family home has. 2. It's critical that you clean behind yourself. It destroys other's experience when we do not. Let us know if others do not. YOUR ROOM >> You'll have a single bed in a co-ed shared space with 4 beds. No visitors or bed-sharing, no exceptions. You may request a lower or upper bunk, but we cannot guarantee their availability. You should have no more than 2 suitcases of luggage, so there should be ample closet space. There is a small locker for secured storage space, if you bring your own lock. The room has a bathroom, a desk for study and a table for socializing. Please be respectful and mindful not to dominate any of the spaces. Please remember to clean behind yourself in the bathroom. We rely on guests to keep it up between our deep cleanings every 2 weeks. THE CULTURE >> The house vibe is very chill. We have a couple of a long term tenants who are very friendly, relaxed and have welcomed many travelers. People chat, exchange and even create friendships, yet there's always enough room to find some space for yourself. That's our home culture. Our first rule is introduce yourself! The second is to enjoy yourself :) BOOKING LIMITS >> Our initial booking limit is 14 days. If you are interested in a long-term stay, or tenancy, after this period, you must apply and be approved. If you wish to extend your stay without entering a lease, we have multiple properties in the city available to book. Our staff can assist you with either. STAFF & SUPPORT >> We are a small team managing multiple properties. We can and will help you with booking changes, requests and adjustments, but our response time may vary depending on the time of day and amount of guests across. Please have patience if you are reaching out during such a time. Safety is our top priority however, and trumps all other matters. If there is ever a safety concern with the home or another guest, please reach immediately. WHO SHOULD BOOK >> Traveling professionals, gig workers, budget and/or international travelers, college students. WHO SHOULD NOT >> You should NOT book if you are 1. Expecting a hotel or vacation rental experience. 2. Abusing drugs or alcohol (or are in recovery) 3. Poor with cleanliness or hygiene 4. Booking for someone you DO NOT TRUST 5. Nocturnal (up at night) 6. Fearful of coliving 7. Have snoring challenges + no snoring aids 8. An extremely light sleeper 9. Involved in any criminal activity 10. Rude, aggressive or generally unfriendly
Guest Access
Our entrance is located BEHIND the house. When entering, walk towards the garage and turn right. You have access to most common areas (not the garage).
The Neighborhood
We're in Rosemont, a quiet, pleasant neighborhood in northeast Sacramento, about 10-20 minutes from Midtown/Downtown, the Golden 1 Arena, and several hospitals. The street we live on is quiet and pleasant; it is very walkable and there a small park about 2-3 blocks away. There are grocery stores, banks and restaurants within 1-2 miles nearby, and public transportation within walking distance.
Getting Around
DRIVING: We are located 5 mins away from 2 major freeways: Interstate 80 and Highway 50. We are also near Watt and Folsom Blvd, which are both main thoroughfares across North and East Sacramento. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: The local bus system is called RT Transit. They offer bus & light rail service across the city and have stops located very near our home. Lightrail: The Starfire Lightrail Station is 0.5 miles away.
